Singapore – 8 December 2020:

Global Cloud Xchange (GCX) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jon Vestal as Chief Technology Officer to drive and capitalize on the adoption of technology across the business and deliver on the company’s renewed strategy.

With 20 years of experience in IT and Telecommunications, Mr. Vestal will oversee the development and execution of GCX’s technology roadmap and implement a vision for how technology is used within GCX to deliver better client outcomes through digital transformation. This will support the company’s broader platform and infrastructure strategy, drive innovation for customers and contribute to the company’s leadership in Cloud connectivity, subsea networks, and managed network services.

“GCX is an extraordinary company with a network platform that essentially empowers millions of people around the world with connectivity,” said Mr. Vestal. “I’m thrilled to be joining a world-class team of sales, engineers, and technologists dedicated to being the backbone of digital transformation of companies and enterprises around the world.”

“Jon comes to GCX with broad knowledge and leadership in IT and Telecommunications – and architecting and implementing technology visions at an enterprise level,” said Carl Grivner, CEO of Global Cloud Xchange. “We are looking forward to having his perspective and leadership on the team as we help our customers digitally transform.”

Prior to joining GCX, Mr. Vestal was the Head of Product Architecture at Telstra, and VP of Product Architecture at Pacnet.

This appointment follows the appointment of Jim Fagan as Chief Strategy and Revenue Officer earlier this year, underlining GCX’s continued investment in talent, innovation, and global business growth.
